Bethesda files suit against maker of Minecraft
Bethesda has already filed suit against the creator of Minecraft because their next game will be called Scrolls. This game is a combination of independent board game and collectible card that is located far from the storyline, aesthetics and gender of the Elder Scrolls series, Bethesda, although the company has taken the firm decision of trying to prevent the use of a name - remotely - similar to the independent developer.
Bethesda claims in its lawsuit that the use of the name Scrolls can cause confusion among consumers. The lawsuit has been filed with the Swedish authorities, where the headquarters of Mojang, is the respondent development group.
"We will do everything we can, because I hate the big guys always get away with it", said Daniel Kaplan, head of business in Mojang.
