Well, Nintendo is offering up a few TurboGrafx-16 titles, and an NES classic as we, here in the States, play catch-up with our friends over in Europe. The two sports titles released today, have long since arrived there, but Bloody Wolf is welcome addition. For those of you that don't remember it, think Ikari Warriors.
NES Open Tournament Golf NES - 500 points
One or two players can swing the clubs of the old tourney style gold game from the NES. Tee off with Mario (and Luigi in two player) in this classic sporting sim. (I did not write this copy, it is from the V.C.) In NES Open Tournament Golf, choose from three international courses - UK, US and Japan - and three different game types - stroke play, match play and tournament. Set up your shot on the overhead map screen by choosing the correct club and adjusting for wind speed and direction, then switch to the action screen and make your shot using careful timing.
Bloody Wolf TurboGrafx-16 - 600 Points
Two commandos of the Bloody Wolf special forces receive instructions from their commander to destroy the enemy's weapon base and rescue any allies who have been reported as Missing in Action. Players automatically begin the game with a machine gun containing unlimited ammo and a knife used exclusively for close quarters combat. The mission's levels are separated into "scenes" and usually consist of one or more players running through various terrain, attacking hordes of enemy soldiers, and reaching the end of the stage to battle a boss. Amidst all the action, players have the option to rescue various hostages scattered throughout the levels to obtain new weapons or items
