Day two of the IMGDC 2.0 conference started without Jonathon Stevens, which had "absolutely nothing to do with the after party the previous night" according to the emcee.  Of course that just meant that we were treated to extra time with the brilliant Dr. Richard A. Bartle.

Later in the day at the IMGDC, I sat in on a presentation given by Peter Smith entitled “Designing a Hybrid MMOG”.

This weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the 2008 IMGDC, “Indie MMO Game Developer Conference”, in Minneapolis.  According to the event's website, "IMGDC was created to be a venue for Indie and Hobby game developers who are interested in building and designing virtual worlds or MMOGs."  Hosted by Last Straw Productions, the conference featured industry keynotes, informative tracks, demo stations, and informal round-tables.

All hail the legal system for when it does it's job well, it does it extremely well. Mr. Jack Thompson, anti-videogamer supreme has been ordered to show cause by 5 March 2008. If not completed properly Mr. Thompson could be relieved of his legal license, disbarred if you will. Read on!
