CigdangleCigDangle was blessed with a father who loved electronics: a trait he passed onto his son. He can remember playing marathon sessions of Combat on the Atari 2600 his father purchased when CigDangle was only 4 years old. He would later broaden his horizons with games like Space Invaders, Pitfall!, and Demon Attack.

Then, when CigDangle was only 10 years old, his father would make a purchase that would change his life forever: a personal computer.

SuperGuidoBeing born in 1971 was perfect for SuperGuido because video games were just beginning their ascent. He used to ditch school and head to the bowling alley which had an ample arcade, including Ikari Warriors and Mr. Do, and would often go without lunch because he spent the money on games.

It began with a game console that offered PONG. (Were they even called consoles back in 1980?) TurboGoat's parents never bought the same system as everyone else, so it was PONG, but not really PONG. That electronic marginalization continued with the VIC-20 when he was 8. While the Vic20 was the hot thing at that time…it would be the last time TurboGoat's parents stayed abreast of the latest in computing trends.

SPAlison

TheGirl was recruited shortly after winning a contest when we found out she could and was interested in writing. She officially started with Generation: Gamerz when she submitted her first article to us Wednesday, 07 November 2007.

Being TheGirl of Generation:Gamerz, you'd think that her expertise would be in Lion King and Kingdom Hearts. And yes, while she HAS played (and beaten) them both, they are far off on her list of favorite games.

http://www.generationgamerz.com/gallery2/d/45493-1/SPFarmerDave.gifFarmerDave was indeed born on a farm just outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1960, long before the era of commercially available videogames.  The first videogames he played were the arcade games like Asteroids, Assault, Battlezone, and Space Invaders. After working on the farm, he would travel to a nearby mall where he would exchange $5 for a fistful of quarters and play the games until the arcade closed.  When it closed, he would then drive to the local airport and play Tempest.

Tom

With a Sears knock-off of the Atari 2600, Stypica's gaming life came to be. Rolling over the score on Asteroids was a fine achievement, and the awesome level of detail in Pitfall makes him weepy (you could see his *eye*).

snorkle256 Snorkle256 grew up in a world of jealousy. He was surrounded by friends who had video games and he didn’'t. He grew up bitter and envious of gaming consoles and was bound and determined to have his own someday.

We're not sure of what diseases Snorkle256 may get in the future from all the second hand gaming he has encountered. One thing is for sure though, that won’t matter because Snorkle256 now games himself and is obviously addicted.
