As if they are thumbing their nose at Sony, Nintendo released some pics of their warehouse with stacks of what appear to be Wii ready for shipping.
It almost seems as if they are daring Sony to put their cards on the table now that new rumors are floating around about them [Sony] not being able to ship units by the launch date.
The pictures are over at 1up but here's a sneak peek of one, click the picture to get to 1Up's site.

So this week Sony announced that they have now sold 40,000,000 PS2's in Europe. Does that mean we will get more games or get them sooner?
Nah, probably not. But Sony is quite happy to announce that they are grateful for the forty million PS2 owners having bought the console and they promise that we will have new games to play 'as soon as we can remember where we put them...' Reminds me a little of the Ronald Reagan era where something (guns, drugs, money) was always being misplaced.

In approximately 2 hours from right now, Japanese gamers will be the first to lay hands on the next entry to the next-gen console race, the long awaited PlayStation 3. The United States will have to wait another week to have the privilege, and our unfortunate European friends across the "pond" will have to wait until March because of engineering times endured creating the console's Cell processor, and the availability of Blu-Ray devices.
