As the title implies, this year will mark the 20th for the Madden franchise. With quite humble beginnings, it is only fitting that the cover of its 20th anniversary version be graced by arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history, who also came from humble beginnings: Brett Favre.
Strange, because it is the first time a retired player will appear on the game's cover, but at the same time, it makes perfect sense. For years, there has been much talk of the "Madden Curse", and what better way to avoid this, then by not being an active player.
Being from Wisconsin, I am a Packers fan. Although never much of a sports fan in general, how can you not love a guy like Brett Favre, a man with so much dedication and devotion to the game? This may be the last Madden game I ever buy.
