Harmonix revealed that there are 6 albums slated for release before the end of the year.
With the onset of Rock Band 2 there are lots of great details surfacing in regards to Harmonix plans for the franchise for the rest of the year and beyond. The latest tidbit of news to be revealed by the creator is that the fans can look forward to jamming to 6 new albums.
There are no details at this point on what will release when (remember all downloaded tracks will be usable in both flavors of Rock Band). Here is a full list of the upcoming albums:
Foo Fighters (The Colour and the Shape)
Red Hot Chili Peppers (Blood Sugar Sex Magik)
Jane's Addiction (Nothing's Shocking)
Megadeth (Peace Sells... But Who's Buying)
Stevie Ray Vaughn (Texas Flood)
A specially-compiled No Doubt Best Of collection
The most interesting note is that the 6th "album" is a collection of No Doubt songs. This is odd since the recently released The Who collection was not considered an album. To each their own!
