Sierra Entertainment announced The Bourne Conspiracy, today. Based on the adventures of book and film character, Jason Bourne, this first title is being developed by High Moon Studios, best known for the game DarkWatch. The title, planned for a summer 2008 release, will be released for both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
"For the first time ever, players will be able to experience the shadowy world of expert assassin Bourne, who continues to find himself plagued by splintered nightmares from his former life." - Al Simone, senior vice president, global marketing for Sierra Entertainment
The game will play as a " third-person espionage action game" in which players take on the role of Jason Bourne, "adopting Jason Bourne's piercing sense of survival, cunning nature, heightened target awareness and firearms training that allow him to engage and eliminate small armies" according to the press release.

Not much else is known about the game at this time, but Sierra, and its parent Vivendi, have promised more details at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) (July 11-13) and in the cover story of the next issue of The Official Xbox Magazine.
This is a great franchise opportunity, that I just pray doesn't go the way of so many other movie license-nightmares.Readers have left 2 comments. 1. Untitled Evilburn, Registered Wow, there is a lot of potential there. Hopefully they can realize some of it and make it a good game. I'm looking forward to checking it out. 2. Untitled SuperGuido, Super Administrator Well Sierra has done a great job on story-based games in the past and this is generally a story-based franchise, although a somewhat predictable one, so it should fit into their way of thinking. But yeah, time will tell as always.
