The Tokyo Game Show has been full of new info and plenty of rumors.
The latest, Nintendo's once - exclusive - survival - horror - turned - Hollywood - movie - serial, Resident Evil, may not only be leaving the company, but also its native country and traveling to the "land of opportunity". Originally, it was announced in January that the game would be released for PS3 and 360.
Microsoft would not confirm, but it wouldn't deny the rumor either. Resident Evil representation was noticeably absent from TGS, which of course sparked the rumors. GamesIndustry.biz spoke with Takashi Sensui, general manager of Microsoft’s Xbox Division in Japan. Sensui would not deny or confirm the rumors saying, "All I can say is we are very good friends with Mr. Inafune". (Keiji Inafune is the producer on Resident Evil).
Capcom then felt the need to dispel the rumors this morning. Speaking to CVG, Capcom answered all questions by stating, "Resident Evil 5 will release on PS3 and Xbox 360 as announced. There a no plans for an exclusive with the game."
