[Review]

A long time ago someone, Chris Hilgert, decided that a yeti should torture some poor penguins. It all started with an ice bat, flying penguins, and of course..the Yeti! Don't have a clue what I'm talking about? Then read on and let me expound upon Yeti Sports.

[Review] [PC]

These articles aren't meant to always be the latest and greatest in Flash Gaming. They are aimed to perhaps remind you of some games you might have forgotten or show you some games that might have slipped by or to tell you about the games we have been playing lately here at Generation: Gamerz. With the enormous amount of flash games that are available it's difficult to keep up with everything that is available, but it gives us a broad enough scope to show you something every week.

This week's Flash Game of the Week was an easy choice as nearly everyone's work here at Generation: Gamerz came to a halt when we got hooked on Roadblock.

What do you get when you take the Warthog from Halo and add a pile of grenades?

Warthog Launch!

One bang up game! The object is simple. Place the grenades so that the Warthog is flung around the screen to eliminate the enemies. Sound easy? Sure it is. Cigdangle and I had a competition and we reached something around level 30 or so. It's easy at times, frustrating at other times but in the long run it’s oddly satisfying.

[Review] [X360]

To be fair, I went into this review feeling a bit biased. I had low expectations for this game, and in all honesty, I didn't expect to like it. The video quality in Saint's Row is far superior to any other game in the "Free-form thug 3rd person shooter" genre...you know anything that copies the Grand Theft Auto format: steal cars, drive around while listening to music, accept a mission, complete mission without dying or getting busted, collect money, open new missions, repeat. But therein lies the problem: its all been done before.

In detox because you miss the Contra era side-scrollers of old? Well my friends go get your fix at ArcadePod.
Heli Attack 3 isn't exactly Contra but it's pseudo-three-dimensional side-scrolling action is close enough.

With a variety of weapons and some time shifting abilities the game offers ample distraction from the real world. With over 30 weapons there are a host of possible ways to destroy the enemies. But the enemies are somewhat lacking overall.
