So the newest trend in advertising seems to be the use of video game sequences to promote a product. Sure it's been done in the past, but it seems more prevalent now. The best of these is the Toyota Tacoma World of Warcraft commercial where the mage summons "Four Wheels of Fury" or something. There are no trucks in WoW! But during the Cowboys vs. Giants game, at the very end, there was an entirely different commercial.

Since Johnny Chung Lee is doing such cool stuff with the Wiimote I thought you might like to hear more from him (I know I did). So here you go, part one of the Generation: Gamerz interview with Johnny Lee. Some of his recent projects could spread into such diverse industries as photography, education, medicine, video games and even, I hate to say it, military operations. Imagine a large flat touch screen where a general can grab and move the map and get real time data while zooming in and out on surveillance footage and satellite photos in 3D VR. Scary stuff man, I sure hope he uses his super powers for good and not evil.

THQ recently announced that they will flood the market with yet another game, based on yet another animated film, from those purveyors of animated eye-candy that have made an art out of making money. This time round it's WALL●E which has the tagline "What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off?" My question is, do we need to take a CGI film and turn it into a "a fast-paced adventure based on the upcoming film?"

I live alone, every weekend but this one. There are 12 people staying in my house, the refrigerator is so packed that we are storing food on the unheated sun porch. Half of the guests are under ten and are pretty deft gamers.
Not long ago CigDangle gave me an Xbox along with some games including Dance Revolution and its companion gamepad. Amongst the youthful sprites, the dance revolution has been in progress for the last 36 hours. In a quiet moment in the last minutes of Christmas Eve, my 8 year-old cousin Heidi showed me some of her favorite flash games.
