[News] [OpEd]

We're halfway done with our shopping lists which means you are running out of time!  Get Christmas shopping for your favorite gamer now!  Amazon is no longer offering free shipping, so you'll have to shell out for it, but you'll still get it in time for Christmas morning.

While I love games and movies and such, I’m very much into music.  I have more music than I care to admit.  And alas, I only have an Ipod Mini (remember those?).

So I want the maximum space for my music, and by buying [RED], proceeds from the purchase of the product go to helping fight AIDS in Africa.

Itouches don’t have enough space for my collection, and I don’t really watch movies or tv shows on my Ipod yet.  So this will suit me just fine.

Hey lets face it: to a computer, RAM is like crack - they can never get enough of it.  With newer,  more demanding operating systems and games, this is one instance where less is not more.  I currently have 1GB of RAM in my system, and when I temporarily upgraded my system to 2 GB it was noticeably faster.  Remember the adage, “bigger is better, more is still not enough”.

King of Kong DVD The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters - DVD
CigDangle's Pick

After viewing Moral Kombat earlier this year, I was excited by the premise of another videogame documentary.  Seriously, I was; if you seen Moral Kombat, you know what I'm talking about.

King of Kong is about one man's quest to break the world record for Donkey Kong and the obstacles he faces along the way.  It's actually an amazing story, and the resistance he faces in toppling the champion is incredible.

Completely worth the money, I would suggest this film for anyone who has played Donkey Kong, enjoys videogames, or just loves good underdog story.

TurboGoat's Pick

I don’t do a lot of extreme sports where I would need such a device but I am always a sucker for neat gadgets.

The Hangtimer can settle any argument at the skate park, the bike trail, or on the slopes.

So next time you are at the Snowy Half-Pipe this season you can back up your snowboard prowess with some hard evidence of your masterful shredding.

Dude!
