[OpEd]

Did hump day come early this week?

I bet that you would love it if it was Wednesday already, just one day closer to the weekend!

No I am not taking over Allison’s normal Wednesday posting; I just thought that I would share something that I found recently.

chaserEverybody seems to have one of those email friends.  You know the one I am talking about: the person that sends out chain letters, the letters and pictures of puppies to brighten our day, but only if we send the email on to 15 other people?  I received one of those emails from my favorite “remailer” yesterday.  This was an email simply titled “test”.  FarmerDave loves tests and challenges - hell, that is part of the reason that I got married.  Anyway, this was supposed to be a test given to Air Force pilots to sharpen their flying skill.  I doubt that the government sanctions this site for any sort of testing, but on the other hand it is fun to play.

I tried the game last night after I got the email and they said that if you can make it 18 seconds you are doing really well.  I have made it 14.375 seconds so far as my best.  To play the game, simply click here: http://members.iinet.net.au/~pontipak/redsquare.html

I hate that game. The version I find online though has a major glitch when you get excited and move the mouse off the screen - reduces accuracy and screws it all up.

So, I'm off the hook for an article this week, right?
