[OpEd] [News]

Here are some quotes from the SplitFish Press Release today that I found rather unprofessional and even questionable. Who are these people anyway and who wrote the press release, a mouthpiece for Sony?

For example they say:
SplitFish GameWare Inc today announced delivery of its MotionFX Adapter for the Sony Playstation 1 and 2 to GameStop retail locations across North America.

Which is all jolly good. But then later they say:
Its clear that as the Playstation 3 now plays over 5,000 PS1, PS2 and PS3 game titles and continues to ramp up its library of true high definition games the PS3 will dominate the future of mature games.

But that has nothing to do with your press release about the adapter coming out for the PS and PS2 does it? And what exactly are they saying about games? That all games on the Xbox and the Wii are not 'mature'? That is somewhat subjective for a press release.

Then they say:
This allows the MotionFX to operate smoothly when combined with the Sony controller. Television sensor strips are not required.

So they are now the innovators instead of just the wanna-be's right? I mean they figured a way where they don't need a sensor bar. Wow, that's a huge bonus I guess. So how are they transporting the signal from the adapter to the console and how much added weight is there?

I am not trying to be a fanboy here but they did take potshots at Nintendo in the press release did they not? Well I contacted them to ask about it. I will post their reply.
