So, my adventures with Microsoft continue. For those of you that don't remember, I have had trouble and more trouble dealing with Xbox tech support.
So, today I get a marketing letter in the mail from my buddies at MS, offering to extend my warranty, for a fee of course.
The reason for the timing of this letter is because my 90-day warranty is to expire November 5, 2006. I purchased my 360 in February, and although I don't have a calculator handy, I'm guessing that was more than 90 days ago. So here's what I've been able to figure out: When I called Xbox Support the first time, they did not have my system "registered", so the tech did so90 days from the day I called is November 5th.Becuase MS did not have me in the system, my warranty did not start until that day.
So, after recieving the letter, I decided to call MS, and attempt to have my power supply warranty replaced. "No problem." I need only fax them a copy of their documented f*ck up. I'll keep you posted.
