Yes my friends, it's a double-decker Mobile Monday with fries on the side. Check out the second game for the day.
Snood Blaster is a bubble-popper with a strange little twist. You see the bubbles are snoods. What's a snood you ask? Well they are little creatures that you match three of in order to clear them from the board before more are added and they reach the limit ending your game.
Snood Blaster
Publisher: THQ Wireless
Developer: Universomo
Version 1.2.2
Basically the snoods are the colored bubbles but with attitudes. These attitudes aren't really important in the bubble popping part but they are important in snood house. In Snood house you are renting out rooms to snoods and they all like and dislike something about others. Your goal is to fill the house and collect as much rent as you can. This is done by winning games of snood popping.
The Snood popping game has multiple variations which allows the game to stand out from the other bubble poppers. Each variation has some slightly different feature like time bombs, constantly moving snood blaster, changing snoods and unknown snoods. The game modes are interesting but chosen randomly each 'day' of the game.
There is also a quick play option which allows you to choose from the seven game modes without the 'story mode' which is essentially what Snood House is in the game.
Snood Blaster is good. It's a new take on a classic game with some twists on it that make it refreshing. Wow, did I just call a mobile game...refreshing like a Lemon Fizz? Maybe it was all that fresh air I got today.
The game controls are simple enough. Move the Snood blaster back and forth to aim so that you can shoot the loaded snood where you want in order to get three or more together to clear them from the board. Alternatively you might get a bomb loaded that explodes on impact taking some snoods with it or you might getwhat looks like a laser disc and vaporises thrre or so snoods in a row.
The music is appropriately happy-go-luck and isn't at all distracting while playing. But it does this odd thing where it sounds like it locks up for 5 seconds and then it loops back to the beginning and plays again.
Is Snood Blaster game groundbreaking? No, it's a port of one of the games at Snood.com. Is it fun and challenging? Yes it is. It's interesting enough to keep you going back for more and that's really what gaming is all about right? Passing time, having fun and enjoying what you're doing. I would recommend everyone take a look at this game if you are in the market for a Puzzle Bobble type game to extend your weekend into Monday.
