With Thanksgiving barely behind us, I think today's title should have read something like, "Leftovers" or "Turkey Sandwiches".
 In case you missed it on Friday, Guitar Hero III shredders can now download the Halo theme (MJOLNIR Mix) for free from Xbox Live. I downloaded my copy this morning, and if you are a Halo fan, trust me when I say, it is a blast to play. Even if you've never cared for the adventures of Master Chief, you may want to give it a try. After all, it is free.
If you are playing on a PlayStation 3, sorry, but you are out of luck on this one.
Speaking of Guitar Hero, The Romantics, the washed up 80s group once famous for the song "What I Like About You," has filed suit against Activision this week, the cover version of the song that appears in Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s is "too similar" to the original version.
Wavegroup Sound, which has recorded all the covers for the Guitar Hero series has also been named in the suit. The Romantics' are seeking unspecified damages and an injunction preventing future sale of the game, claiming it infringes on the group's likeness. It all became clear when attorney attorney William Horton explained, "The sales of this game are huge. We're all for good commerce. We just want to share in it." Disgusting.
Spike TV's 2007 Video Game Awards is coming soon; December 9th at 9PM EST to be exact. The nominees have all been announced and here's the list:
