For the last Sunday of 2007 I managed to scrape together enough leftovers to make an entire meal. While news has been slow this week as it always is with the holidays I managed to dig up quite a scrumptious compilation of tidbits that I am sure will appeal to everyone's tastebuds. So for one final time this year, grab that cup of coffee and let's dig into some Sunday Hot Ham and Rolls
Holy thighs almighty! Kristin Kreuk of Smallville fame is set to play Chun-Li in the upcoming Street Fighter film? I think my mind will melt before the end of the first fight scene. As a matter of fact just thinking about her makes it extremely difficult to even continue on with this article. I mean, LOOK AT HER! Anything that has her exposing any part of her body in any way shape or form scores highly in my mind. Higher even than dare I say it, video games?!
Well it's entirely possible that she scores higher than many games as well as other things like food and sleep. Really the only reason I am continuing to write now is so that this section is big enough for me to squeeze in another picture of a woman who I may or may not have fallen in love with the moment I first laid eyes on her. Oh wait is that too much information? Well ok then Street Fighter is set to focus on Chun-Li this time around and should begin shooting down in Thailand sometime next March. So if I disappear for several months that might be a good place to start looking for me, Thailand. Does anyone else find it strange that a film based on a woman with amazing thighs is being shot in Thailand or will it be Thighland? Hey look! It's time for another picture of Kristin Kreuk. Sigh...
I know I probably shouldn't have led off with that one but we needed to heat up the ham and rolls and now I'd say they're pretty damn hot. So I guess I can attempt a vulgar seque and move on to some hot licks. That's songs for Rock Band mind you and not something else entirely. It seems that they are beating the pants off GH3 in the popularity contest. Additionally they seem to be scoring new artists faster than them as well. As a holiday treat they let off a list of songs on the Xbox 360 this week for a mere 99 cents (80 Xbox LIVE points). Here's the songs:
-
"Attack" - 30 Seconds To Mars (from 2005's A Beautiful Lie)
- "The Kill" - 30 Seconds To Mars (from 2005's A Beautiful Lie)
-
"Dirty Little Secret" - All-American Rejects (from 2005's Move Along)
-
"Move Along" - All-American Rejects (from 2005's Move Along)
-
"Song With A Mission" - The Sounds (from 2006's Dying To Say This To You)
They've already won me over and I've probably put more time into that game than any other in the last week or so. As a matter of fact I will be getting back to rockin out after this article.
The Nintendo homebrew front had a major breakthrough this week as some hackers from Germany showed off their proof of concept on the Wii. What's this mean for the average Wii-gamer? Nothing much. But for some of the more adventurous, like myself, it means that we might see some super homebrew apps heading our way. While the Wii had been hacked in the past to allow copies of games and such these guys showed a deeper hack that potentially gives them control and access to the entirety of the system. They said that this will probably culminate in a bootable Linux DVD in the near future that could allow us homebrewers to brew up some goodies.
Here's the YouTube video:
The video is rather dry and high-level hardware speak but basically they manage to show you the hardware can be accessed at the very end there after telling you what they found. I will keep an eye on this one.
From what I see over at Engadget there is going to be a Devil May Cry 4 Xbox 360 bundle in Japan in the near future. They even managed to snag a picture of the box which I then stole and have here for you. but hey, they can steal from us as well as long as they tell you they stole it from us like I just did. Since I did steal it from them just head over to them and read what other info they have on it. Here's the link.
Regardless the game looks like it will be one of the big hits of next year but I hope they start working on a major revision if they are going to continue making them
Can you believe I'm still totally thinking about Kristin Kruek? Do you know how difficult it makes writing this article? Well let me pull my mind away from the fine curves of her figure and wrap it around some end of year stuff instead. the GDC - Game Developer's Conference - is holding the Game Developer's Choice Awards. Awards in ten categories, including two new categories, for Best Downloadable Game and Best Handheld Game, will be
given at a ceremony produced by CMP’s Game Developers Conference (GDC)
and presented by Gamasutra.com and Game Developer Magazine, on
Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at GDC. This info is courtesy of GamaSutra.com as a matter of fact. You can head over to the main site here and fill out a ballot and read more about it. Is there a category for most distracting female form? I have some nominees I'd like to put forth for that one.
Speaking of GamaSutra they also found out that SNK's Metal Slug 3 will finally be seeing a release on the Xbox LIVE next month. January 2nd for 800 Microsoft points ($10) to be exact. The game was previously delayed due to size restrictions and some other anti-gamer policies from the Em-dollar-sign. The game is said to have "updated HD graphic options and co-op multiplayer over Xbox Live," according to GS. Read the full story here .

In less time than it took me to write that line above and you to figure it out Amazon says they sold that many Wii. That would be 17 and that would be per second. Tech-Ex , quoting an Amazon press release, says that December 10th was their busiest day and that they sold 17 Wii per second when they had stock. One minute of that would have been 1020 units. Ten minutes would have been 10,200. Well you get the picture. For some reason Amazon felt the need to put in some 'wacky facts' like this one " Amazon.com sold enough Hannah Montana wigs for the entire audience at her Dec. 20 show in Providence, RI."
Hannah Montana isn't a cartoon character? I'm confused.

She's got nothing on Kristin Kreuk in my book. Come to think of it, I think we should have one more look at her don't you?
